Text to Speech (TTS) Online
Sometimes reading a long document on screen just isn't practical — maybe you're commuting, cooking, or simply giving your eyes a rest. That's where our Text to Speech tool comes in. It leverages your browser's native Web Speech API to convert any text into natural-sounding audio, completely offline and without sending a single character to our servers.
You can choose from dozens of voices depending on your operating system — male, female, and even accented voices for languages like English, Spanish, German, and more. Adjust the speed and pitch to find that sweet spot between 'audiobook narrator' and 'speed listening for study notes.'
We built this because existing TTS tools either require sign-ups, have word limits, or upload your content to cloud servers. If you're proofreading a blog post, practicing a speech, or just want to hear how your content sounds out loud, this tool does the job without the overhead.
How to use
- 1
Paste or type your text into the input area.
- 2
Pick a voice from the dropdown (browser-dependent).
- 3
Adjust speed and pitch sliders to your liking.
- 4
Hit 'Play' to listen. Use 'Pause' and 'Stop' as needed.
FAQ
Voices come from your operating system, not our site. Chrome on Windows may offer 20+ voices, while Safari uses Apple's speech engine. Mobile browsers also have their own voice packs.
Technically no — but extremely long texts (100,000+ characters) may cause your browser to slow down. For very long content, we recommend breaking it into sections.
